I became a disciple of Jesus Christ on December 10, 1972 at the age of 17. Since that remarkable day, I have given my life in service to Him. Over the years I have served as a Young Life youth counselor; Vacation Bible
School teacher, craft director, music director, overall director (did I say, “I love VBS?!”); Sunday School teacher for both children and adults and Youth Group leader. I have led praise and worship for church services as well as bible studies. I love to teach children’s moments (sermonettes) during the worship hour and I can think of no higher honor than that of praying for the sick in body and the wounded in spirit. I enjoy writing and, over the years, have provided newsletters for various groups and churches. I am involved in extensive research for a novel set during the Holocaust which will deal with the faith of the Hasidic Jews in Eastern Europe during this horrific chapter in history.As I have matured, the Lord has given me many opportunities to minister to women, especially as a pastor’s wife. I enjoy leading bible studies for women that are very in-depth and life changing. I have spoken to women’s groups in Virginia and in Ashe County, Granite Falls, Hickory and Lenoir in NC.
